Arch Printing’s beginnings started from within the “in-plant” print shop of Barber Greene’s Aurora, IL plant. Barber Greene was founded in 1916 in Aurora to design and produce conveyors and bucket loaders to raise the productivity of coal yards. Eventually Barber Greene, and the Barber Greene paver was purchased by Caterpillar Inc. to form the basis of their asphalt paver line. Barber Greene closed it’s Aurora plant in 1986. Tony Arch saw this as an opportunity and bought much of the equipment from the closing shop to start his own. Arch Printing.
